TERMS OF WARRANTY FOR REMY ELECTRICALS INDIA PRODUCTS FITTED AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT

REMY ELECTRICALS INDIA LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as Company) warrant to the original purchaser, the products manufactured by Remy Electricals India Limited as listed in Annexure "X" to this terms of warranty to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for periods and running durations as specified in Annexure "X" undertake, under this warranty, to repair or replace any component/ components of the products listed in Annexure "X" which proves defective within the tenure of warranty as reckoned from the date of original purchase/commissioning of the vehicle, equipment or engine as the case maybe, and which the factory examination discloses to our satisfaction thus defective. The warranty will continue to be in force on its original terms irrespective of what replacement may be made under it. But such replacement will not attract a fresh warranty. This warranty shall not apply to products listed or any component thereof, which has been subject to an accident, alteration, misuse, fire, floods and such occurrences. This warranty applies only if the product is supplied as original equipment on the vehicle, engine or equipment as the case maybe. The warranty is limited to products dealt by the company as listed in Annexure "X" only and as such the Company or its Distributors, Main dealers and Authorized Service Dealers will not be responsible for any nature of loss or damage consequential to the failure of the products.

The warranty is given only to the original purchaser of the vehicle, equipment or engine on which the product is fitted as original equipment and is not transferable. It will become null and void if repair or modifications are carried out by other than the Company or its Authorized Service Dealer. This warranty will be null and void if the vehicle, equipment or engine on which the product fitted is not serviced for any of the mandatory service requirements as specified by the vehicle, equipment or engine manufacturers.

The company or its authorized dealer will repair / replace parts and components during the warranty period on free of cost basis if it is determined by the Company that these are due to manufacturing defects. This warranty service will be given to the purchaser within the town limits of the Company's nearest Authorised Service Dealer. All expenses incurred for travel/transportation if any must be borne by the purchaser and are not included in the warranty.

EXCLUSIONS:
The following shall be excluded from the scope of free repair/replacement under the warranty
(1) Supplies/repair of sintered bushes, carbon bushes, bearings, rubber, plastic & Bakelite parts and hard wares such as nuts, screws, bolts, washers and shims.
(2) Damage/failure resulting to the product due to operation in abnormally corrosive or Abrasive atmosphere.
(3) Any defect or damage resulting due to improper maintenance/repair by a party not Authorized by the Company.
(4) Any damage due to negligence, willful abuse, misuse, accident and natural Calamities such as cyclones, floods and earthquakes.
(5) Damage/malfunctioning due to any defect which not immediately notified to the Company or its Authorized Service Dealer.
(6) Damage/failure of the product due to malfunctioning / incompatibility of associated Equipment such as battery, ignition switch and wiring etc.

SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES UNDER THE WARRANTY:
In case of any differences arising between the parties hitherto and relating to any matter arising out of this warranty, the same shall be referred to the Marketing Department, Remy Electricals India Ltd., Thondamanatham Village, Villianur Commune, Pondicherry - 605 502. All disputes are subject to Pondicherry jurisdiction.

NATURE & APPLICATION OF EQUIPMENT/VEHICLE/ENGINE ON WHICH REMY ELECTRICALS INDIA PRODUCTS FITTED AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT.

A) ENGINES SUPPLIED FOR EARTH MOVING AND MINING EQUIPMENT AND COMPRESSORS
B) ENGINES FOR STAND BY A.C. GENERATING SETS.

HEAVY DUTY CRANKING MOTORS OF TYPE 37MT, 42MT, 50MT. GENERATORS OF ALL MODELS.

VALIDITY OF WARRANTY FOR ALL PRODUCTS.

1000 HOURS OR ONE CALENDAR YEAR FROM THE DATE OF COMMISSIONING OR PUTTING INTO SERVICE OF THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT"
